NSW Hospitals: Elective surgery

This map shows the median elective surgery waiting times by electoral district. The Coalition Government has promised to increase the health budget by more than 20 percent to $19.9 billion. The Labor party has announced 840 new nurses.

The shortest surgery waiting time is at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney with 30 days and the longest wait time is 340 days at Gosford Hospital in Gosford.

Data on the elective surgery waiting times has been taken from the Sydney Morning Herald. Legislative assembly names and winning margins are derived from the NSW Electoral commission and are based on the 2011 results. Data does not account for by-elections and redistribution party changes. Boundary information has been taken from the Electoral Boundaries Commission
